    JAVA Engineer/Analyst

    (Full Stuck Developer)

    (Hybrid - 2 days on site, 3 days remote within 4 hrs. reporting area of Annapolis, MD)

    This is a 1099 contract job for initially one year and extendable up to 5 years and possibility for permanent role in Maryland JIS.

    The candidate must be a B.S. in Computer Science or related field (as determined by the AOC), and

    Eight (8) or more years’ experience as a Full Stack Java Engineer (application, integration, solution). The candidate must be legally authorized to work in the USA.

    The candidate needs to have the following preferred skills, experience, and capabilities:

    1. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, end users and vendor development staff, all levels of management, and

    judicial personnel as necessary.

    2. Maintaining and developing web applications front ends using react, JSF/Prime Faces, and

    Solicitation No. K24-0023-29 – Hybrid JAVA Engineer – mdcourts.gov/procurement

    3. Developing scalable, secure, access-controlled Java SOAP and REST service APIs

    and implementations.

    4. Historical and proven knowledge and practical application of:

    (1) Java 8 and above, (2) Spring (Framework, Data JPA, Security, Scheduler), (3) Hibernate (JPA, Validator), (4) JSF (Prime faces), (5) J2EE (EJB and JSP), (6) Oracle 12C and higher, (7) Junit Framework, (8) JMeter, (9) Web Services, (10) slf4j, (11) JavaScript, (12) PERL, (13) XML, and (14) HTML.

    6. Capability to:

    (1) Design and document the approach for major use cases before coding.

    (2) Articulate and find ways to add unit tests/integrated tests to legacy systems using

    Junit and Mockito to debug issues.

    (3) Provide accurate estimates for Jira tasks using Scrum development process.

    (4) Document the legacy system code and approach used with flow diagrams.

    7. Understanding and capability to code in event driven, microservices, and SOA architectures.

    8. Hands on coding experience including:

    (1) Two (2) or more years with event driven architecture.

    (2) Three (3) or more years with Microservices architecture.

    (3) Four (4) or more years with legacy monolithic architectures.

    9. Four (4) or more years hands-on experience migrating from one framework to another.

    10. Knowledge of scalability options and best practices.

    11. Court case management experience.

    12. Ability to quickly evaluate, learn and prototype new technologies.
