    Job Description

    Reporting to the Americas Finance Director, the Finance Manager will leverage strong accounting and compliance backgrounds to manage general accounting along with costing and inventory controls, explore historical financial data results and drive process and policy improvements. The Finance Manager will support all US sites, currently in Elk Grove Village, IL and Fontana CA.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and provide guidance to the US accounting team as direct reports.
    • Manage and monitor the budgeting and financial planning process for the business and provide key financial metrics to measure performance versus plan (monthly, annual, management level presentations, and group audits).
    • Complete monthly, quarterly and annual required reporting per the due dates provided on the corporate reporting schedule.
    • Investigate, update, and maintain transfer pricing (TP) in accordance with corporate TP guidelines.
    • Oversee proper controls of the payroll process for the US.
    • Establish and maintain stable cash flow & working capital management policies and procedures and ensure cash resources are available for daily operations.
    • Maintain accountability for financial operations, including working capital, capital expenditures, taxes, budget and general accounting.
    • Direct all financial aspects of the US business, including appropriate systems and processes (ERP, inventory, internal control, compliance) to monitor and forecast current and anticipated performance of the business.
    • Proactively identify, develop and drive initiatives to address key needs of the business, such as customer and product line profitability, to enhance outcomes and business growth.
    • Assess and critique current and future business plans/assumptions to ensure that the business achieves overall performance goals.
    • Prepare and file appropriate federal, state, third-party, and other financial reports to ensure compliance with government and tax authorities.
    • Set up and/or oversee all financial and operational controls and metrics within the organization

    Essential Duties/Functions

    These essential functions are the basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform.

    • Manage cost of operations by establishing standard costs and collecting operational data.
    • Examines past and current financial performance data.
    • Evaluates inventory transactions and movements.
    • Prepares reports and projections based on investigations.
    • Manages cost updates/rolls in ERP system.
    • Oversees month end closing process.
    • Provide monthly comments on operations expenses and variances to targets.
    • Inter-company pricing.
    • Identifies financial status by comparing and evaluating actual results with plans and forecasts.
    • Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
    • Improves financial status by investigating results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to management. Recommends actions by reviewing and interpreting data and making comparative studies.
    • Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications and coordinating information requirements.
    • Protects operations by keeping financial information private.
    • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.

    • Strong understanding of business finance
    • Great social and communication skills, both oral and written
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills
    • Expert in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

    Required skills & experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CMA or CPA a plus.
    • 10-15 years of Controlling experience in manufacturing industry
    • Expert-level financial modeling skills.
    • Ability to influence and persuade.
    • Knowledge of ERP systems – preferably experience with Microsoft D365
    • Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling.
    • Excellent time management and organizational ability.
    • Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
