Traveling School Occupational Therapist
Job Summary: U.S. Medical Staffing is seeking reliable Occupational Therapists to travel to Various School districts in Nassau County. This position would primarily be for pre-school aged students. The Occupational therapist would be responsible for meeting at the Students schools to perform the schedule. This position is Part time with the Ability to become full time. The Occupational therapist will be Presented all the cases and will have the ability to select what they want to create their weekly schedules. This would be Monday to Friday with no weekends or holidays. Occupational therapist would never be required to meet at the students house. this position would begin after Labor day.
Job Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Filling out a Paper timesheet for each student.
Documenting the Appropriate Paperwork for each child
Classroom Responsibilities – activities necessary for participation in various classroom activities, including adapting to routines, organizing materials, hand skills necessary for manipulating classroom tools and producing written work
Functional Sensorimotor Skills/Environmental Interactions – such as staying on task while filtering distractions, interacting cooperatively and appropriately with peers and adults, following directions, observing personal space and utilizing various school equipment safely
Activities of Daily Living – as it relates to self‐care activities such as hygiene, toileting, feeding, managing personal materials and devices
Transitioning from school to post‐school activities
Job Qualifications:
NYS Occupational Therapy License
Degree in Occupational Therapy
Fingerprinted by the DOE or willing to be Fingerprinted by the DOE
