    About the Role:

    US Service Animals and Dog Academy are currently recruiting for a Sr. Software Engineer who is a self-starter and takes initiative in tackling challenges with our web and mobile applications. We are a growing organization and building out many new products, so the Engineer will need to have an architectural mindset as we plan for scalability and the future. This candidate will collaborate with other developers on our team to research, plan, and build solutions to meet the businesses needs.

    What You'll Bring

    • 5+ years of experience with PHP, including an MVC framework like Laravel or Yii
    • Understanding of object-oriented programming principles & design patterns
    • Experience developing and consuming API web services
    • Advanced proficiency with MySQL and database design
    • Experience using Git in a team setting
    • Working knowledge of Docker
    • A positive attitude and excellent communication skills (a must!)

    • A passion for writing clean, well-documented code
    • The ability to design software that's robust, secure, scalable, and built to last
    • You're a self-starter who's able to pick up a task and run with it (but you're also not afraid to ask questions)
