Job Description
US21, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Government Sales Representative to be headquartered in Fairfax, VA. The successful candidate will have a strong background in sales of tactical gear, field medical and safety equipment and/or tactical communications equipment for government programs worldwide. A proven track record of successful sales and continuous growth is required. The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for the full life cycle of the sale from identification of leads, to preparing quotes and closing sales. A candidate with strong relationships and experience dealing directly with government agency decision makers is highly desired.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
( CRITICAL ) KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE WORKING IN THE SAME INDUSTRY WITH FULL UNDERSTANDING OF KEY MANUFACTURERS, LEADING CONTRACTORS, GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS, AND KEY MILITARY/FEDERAL CUSTOMERS.
2+ years of experience working as a sales account manager / account executive
Proven relationship building skills that lead to account growth
Working knowledge of government auction bidding such as Unison Marketplace is a plus
Experience working on responses to RFP, RFQ, and RFI is highly desired.
Experience working with or managing federal government accounts a plus
Detail oriented with an emphasis on organizational skills, problem solving, and client communication
Proficiency in Outlook/Word/Excel/Adobe Acrobat is required.
Strong interpersonal telephone and written/electronic communications skills.
