USA Rare Earth's mission is to create a fully integrated, US-based “mine-to-magnet” critical mineral supply chain supporting the ongoing green revolution.
USA Rare Earth, LLC (USARE) is building a facility in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where we are standing up equipment to go from Rare Earth Oxides through to sintered neodymium magnets. USARE owns an 80% operating interest in the Round Top-Heavy Rare Earth, Lithium, and Critical Minerals Project located in Hudspeth County, West Texas. And with its development of the first rare earth and critical minerals processing facility in the United States (Colorado), and ownership of the only neodymium iron boron (NdFeB) permanent magnet manufacturing capability in the Western Hemisphere, USARE is poised to become the leading domestic supplier of critical raw materials required for the electric vehicle, green energy, consumer electronics, and defense industries, as well as battery grade lithium and tech metals needed for chipsets, semiconductors, and 5G.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
USA Rare Earth (USARE) is an equal opportunity employer seeking a results-driven maintenance supervisor. The position is based in STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA, and reports directly to the MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR. This is a hands-on role. The maintenance technicians will collaborate with contractors to set up numerous pieces of equipment, learning how the equipment works and operates as they do so. The role will grow into routine maintenance, minimizing downtime, and contributing to continuous improvement. A successful candidate will support and drive the USARE culture of safety, orderliness, and continuous improvement. They will be flexible as the organization goes through a period of growth to work with a growing team. We are seeking candidates with experience maintaining a variety of manufacturing equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support and maintain the USARE culture of safety, orderliness, and continuous improvement.
Actively support the re-assembly and set up of manufacturing equipment, with an emphasis on understanding it intimately for safe operations and on-going maintenance
Support the supervisor to keep an orderly maintenance shop and spare parts department, following 5S principles
Support all the operations supervisors to ensure USARE success, particularly focused on safety, orderliness (e.g. 5S), and continuous improvement
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHERS:
Reports to the Maintanance Supervisor
Collaborates and supports the production supervisors, helping them be successful
Collaborates with all departments to ensure improved production
Works closely with external service providers for equipment support and maintenance
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Familiarity with developing a Site Safety Plan
Computer and software skills: Demonstrate computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel
Good at following procedures, especially maintenance plans and asset registers
Other: Excellent organizational and communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities
Strong problem-solving skills
Work proficiently both individually and with teams
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma, Associates Degree or equivalent
5-10 years’ experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance, or directly related experience
Willingness to work a flexible schedule
Travel requirements: minimal

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work will mainly be conducted on the manufacturing floor and in a maintenance shop. This may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes, or airborne particles.
Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in the manufacturing plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment, as required.
