    USADA is seeking a dedicated and driven person to help our organization fulfill its mission to "Stand with athletes to champion their right to clean sport, inspire true and healthy sport, and promote the integrity of sport.” This is an incredibly exciting time to join Team USADA, as we work to support major international competitions such as the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024 (Paris), 2026 (Milan), and 2028 (Los Angeles). New team members will have the chance to help ensure USADA is well-positioned in the near and long term for these opportunities as we look to the future with our efforts to protect clean athletes. With the 2028 Games on domestic soil, there will also be opportunities and growth potential over the years for USADA team members to underpin the organizing committee’s commitment to a clean Games.

    JOB SUMMARY: The person in this role needs to be a communication chameleon, with the ability to easily synthesize complex information and distill key messages before packaging and sharing content that is both engaging and educational. The Coordinator will support the implementation of the organization’s social media and communication strategies by monitoring social and media channels, engaging with stakeholders, and creating content tailored to different audiences, platforms, and brand voices. This role requires demonstration of a wide knowledge of various social media platforms, content optimization, engagement strategies, and the ability to differentiate voice based on brand and audience. The Coordinator will also need to utilize a strong understanding of digital media to identify and produce the best creative assets, including video and graphics, for different platforms to ensure maximum engagement and education.

    This role demands exceptional interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, allowing the ideal candidate to sensitively navigate conversations on social media, confidently interact with stakeholders at events, and respectfully coach fellow team members while producing content. That ability should be paired with strong technical writing skills, as well as an excellent understanding of audience, tone, and nuance. The position necessitates unpredictable hours and work outside of standard business hours, including nights and weekends.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Create, curate, edit, and share daily social media content in alignment with a monthly social media strategy while also identifying and capitalizing on ongoing opportunities to post trending and inbound content. Content should be timely, engaging, and educational, as well as optimized for platform and intended audience.

    Develop monthly social media content calendars for USADA and TrueSport that reflect organizational priorities and support communication goals.

    Incorporate planned and unplanned content, including in-house content, partner content, and third-party content.

    Create on-brand digital assets, including videos, graphics, and other materials, that reflect platform best practices and serve organizational goals.

    Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to capture strategic and engaging content in different environments, including at events.

    Maintain a comprehensive social and media monitoring program to ensure staff are immediately aware of stories, articles, and trends affecting the USADA and TrueSport brands.

    Maintain a comprehensive and daily social media monitoring program to identify stakeholders to collaborate with and storylines to share both internally and externally to ensure maximum awareness of relevant messages.

    Compile detailed data reports for analysis to help inform social media, engagement, and content strategies.

    Support the development and implementation of the organization’s influencer program to ensure that USADA and TrueSport reach new audiences with important messages delivered by influential athletes, caregivers, and coaches.

    Write and edit articles, press releases, statements, talking points, and other content as needed to support departments across the organization.

    Conduct research and compile memos, briefings, and other materials to support leadership.

    Assist Director of Communications in development of organization’s earned and organic social media strategy, messaging, and brand voice(s). Identify trends and innovatively suggest tactical and strategic shifts based on the evolving landscape.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    2-3 years of experience creating and implementing a social media program

    Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Sports Marketing, or related field or combination of education and experience

    Understanding of the Olympic/Paralympic movement and anti-doping landscape is preferred

    Demonstrated experience creating digital assets for social media, including videos and graphics

    Demonstrated experience posting and engaging on X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube, as well as experience utilizing a social media management platform (e.g., Sprout Social)

    Demonstrated cultivation of a personal social media brand is also ideal

    Exceptional oral and written communication skills

    Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence

    Ability to identify and propose solutions in a timely manner

    Ability to quickly adjust tone and messaging to speak to a wide range of stakeholders and serve the needs of different brands

    Ability to understand and synthesize complex and nuanced information
