    REPORTS TO:

    Doping Control Officer (DCO) Manager

    Doping Control Officer (DCO) Regional Team Lead

    DIRECT SUPERVISOR OF:

    N/A

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Responsible for various tasks related to conducting Doping Control in the field.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Plan and manage doping control test assignments

    Recruit, train and oversee Chaperones

    Witness sample collection or overseeing the witnessing of the Sample Collection Process

    Ability to perform urine and/or blood collections

    Process athlete Samples according to USADA's protocol and procedures

    Ensure accurate documentation/completion of the Doping Control Process

    Ship processed Samples to the specified WADA certified laboratory

    Ship all Sample Collection Documentation to USADA

    Attend DCO training sessions and meetings

    Pass all certification/recertification requirements

    Assist in the recruitment and training of Doping Control Officer candidates identified by USADA

    Accountable to the most current version(s) of the DCO Manual, Sample Collection Documentation and other training resources

    Keep USADA aware of issues in the field

    Keep USADA aware of conflicts of interest

    Participate in DCO evaluation and support program

    Collect Samples on behalf of other agencies when requested by USADA

    Ensure adequate control of Document, Record and Sample Collection Equipment

    GENERAL:

    Maintain confidentiality at all times

    Recommend necessary updates and revisions to USADA protocol and procedures as related to Doping Control

    Projects and other duties as assigned

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Have no affiliation with sample collection organizations outside of USADA

    Excellent oral and written communication skills

    Ability to make decisions reflective of USADA's protocol and procedures

    Ability to multitask and to work accurately under pressure

    Ability to interact with internal and external customers

    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    Ability to work in a diverse environment

    Able to perform in a team environment

    Able to meet deadlines and operate with limited supervision

    Successful completion of certification requirements

    Ability to travel, possibly at short notice, to conduct test assignments

    Ability to work flexible hours as needed

    Proficiency in MS Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    Able to access the Web for daily communication

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Work experience in athletics and sport

    Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese

    Accredited phlebotomy license/certification and/or Registered Nurse (RN)
