This is a contract position and will be paid per draw collection. This position would be ideal for an existing mobile phlebotomist to add to their current work, or for someone who wanted to work on a part time flexible basis
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs venipunctures and related procedures for specimen collection of athletes at facilities and athlete homes
Use proper patient identification to avoid mistakes that can affect collection
Relax athletes by being friendly and personable but competent with the needle
Enforce infection control processes any time you are working with equipment or athletes
Make sure phlebotomy supplies are stocked and organized prior to seeing athletes
Maintain confidentiality at all times
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years phlebotomy experience
Professional demeanor and appearance
Ability to travel to different locations for blood collections
Must have dependable transportation and flexible
Pass a criminal background check
COVID-19 Vaccination
Certification:
National Phlebotomy Certification from one of the accredited agencies:
ACA - American Certification Agency (certified on/after July 2003)
AMT - American Medical Certification Association (certified on/after April 2003)
ASCP - American Society of Clinical Pathology (certified on/after June 2003)
AMCA - American Medical Certification Association (certified on/after June 2017)
NHA - National Healthcareer Association (certified on/after February 2005)
NCCT/MMCI - National Center for Competency Testing (certified on/after February 2003)
An equal or more advanced, applicable credential such as MA, RN, NP or PA
Obtain SafeSport Certification
