JOB SUMMARY:
This data-driven and solution-oriented member of the USADA team manages the day-to-day operations of USADA’s Doping Control Officer (DCO) program. This includes building and supporting a high-performing team of domestic and international sample collection personnel in the field, leading an exceptional headquarters-based operations team that empowers our field team to thrive, collaborating with other headquarters teams to ensure we effectively execute annual test distribution plans and target tests, being a strong steward of USADA’s resources through keen budget management, managing critical logistics and supply chain functions, and ensuring productive teamwork with other USADA teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Lead on the development of annual team playbooks and budgets that ensure our DCO program is positioned to effectively support our testing objectives and is well-connected to our Game Plan.
· Regularly track measurable objectives and adapt strategy and tactics accordingly to ensure we are executing a gold standard program globally.
· Oversee the recruitment, hiring (and firing), onboarding, training, continuing education, and measuring of the success of more than 100 sample collection personnel located around the world, including doping control officers, blood collection officers, and chaperones.
· Ensure our team of sample collection personnel is right-sized and empowered to successfully support our testing programs, including our Olympic and Paralympic, UFC, and Client programs.
· Regularly track and utilize data to determine how to best deploy our field team and to measure their success.
· Execute a global-leading DCO certification and continuing education program that ensures we have the highest performing DCOs in the world.
· Build and maintain relationships with sample collection personnel in the field.
· Ensure the DCO voice and perspective is well-integrated into decision-making at the headquarters and intentionally work to strengthen connections between headquarters and field teams.
· Support a high-performing team of operations specialists in our headquarters who deliver a gold standard customer service experience to our field team.
· Ensure the DCO Operations team manages an efficient logistics and supply chain system, including the procurement of anti-doping test kits and supplies, maintaining a strong partnership with a third-party logistics company, and consistently looking for opportunities to improve time and cost efficiencies.
· Collaborate with other USADA teams on testing innovations such as remote testing and deployment of new sample collection equipment and techniques.
· Host domestic and international conferences for our DCOs.
· Intentionally develop and maintain relationships with other international leaders in DCO operations.
· Manage annual operational budget and ensure the team manages the monthly actual expenses to budget.
· Keep the Director of Operations & Special Projects aware, at appropriate frequency and depth of content, of relevant results, challenges, and opportunities within the DCO Operations function.
· Travel to regularly see our work in the field and build in-person relationships with our field team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum five (5) years successful leadership experience with increasing responsibilities for building and execution of programs
· At least three (3) years’ experience recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing/managing a high-performing team
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Successful history of delivering exceptional customer service to clients

· Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed
· Moderate proficiency in MS Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
DESIRED:
· Experience in anti-doping and/or sports industry
· Experience leading a team of field-based employees
· Practical experience in logistics and/or procurement
· BA, BS or equivalent work experience
