Job Description

As a Research & Development Analyst, you will work independently to research, document, recommend, and report on new product design ideas and make recommendations to improve current product formulations.

You will contribute to product enhancement and new product objectives through extensive market research and competitive research analysis. You will be responsible for keeping accurate and detailed records of research, experiments and results.

• Reviews all current products and makes recommendations for design modifications and updates.
• Develop clear and effective written proposals/presentations for the Sales & Marketing Manager and internal key decision makers.
• Completes stability and product shelf life reports for newly launched products. 
• Supports with feasibility, risk and stability claims for new and updated product designs. 
• Works integrally with sales team to support new commercialization or to provide effective solutions using in-house knowledge with problem solving skills.
• Responsible for developing and penetrating the markets that utilize products from both UTAK and the competition.
• Promotes products through end user discussions and meetings using technical expertise and customer knowledge.
• Comply with UTAK’s policies, procedures, quality standards and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) as well as safety and environmental regulations.
• Contact customers by phone, email, and physical mail to discuss proposed updates and changes to current product offering.
• Generate new business opportunities through product development.
• Track and report on new product performance. 
• Perform Industry and Competitive Analysis to support UTAK’s strategy and sales development.
• Analyze market share and improve profitability.
• Obtain visibility to competitor product offering and pricing.
• Develop and maintain an awareness of the customer situation, market behavior and competitive trends. Anticipate customer needs. Promptly relay customer and market information internally regarding issues that impact Company’s ability to maintain and grow its business lines.
• Update ERP/CRM customer information/database.
• Participate on cross-functional teams to improve processes and associated procedures.
• Deliver regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
