We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound technology. This role is crucial in providing high-quality patient care and assisting in the diagnosis of various medical conditions. The Ultrasonographer will work in a dynamic environment, potentially within a Level I or Level II Trauma Center, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive sonography examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, and vascular studies.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assist in the identification of medical conditions.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Monitor and record vital signs as part of the patient assessment process.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to interpret ultrasound results and contribute to patient management plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures performed and patient information.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain equipment in optimal working condition.
- Provide support during emergency medicine situations, including cardiac catheterization procedures when necessary.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Years of Experience: 1 year(s)
Certifications: ARDMS, ARDMS OB/GYN*, ARDMS RVT, BLS
Requirements
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in various sonography techniques and diagnostic evaluations.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and ability to perform vital sign assessments.
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and emergency medicine protocols is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Night 4x10-Hour (21:00 - 07:00)
