Job Summary

We are seeking an Ultrasound Technician to join our team! As an Ultrasound Technician, you will be preparing patients for their procedures by adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment, and changing controls and exposure to capture the required results. You will also be assisting in maintaining and cleaning radiology equipment, troubleshooting minor issues, and maintaining an inventory of daily supplies. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, prior experience working in a medical setting, and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Provided comprehensive care to patients requiring ultrasound services in an organized and systematic manner according to JWCC policy and standards.

Explain the ultrasound procedure to patients and answer any questions they may have

Maintain ultrasound equipment and sterilize the room in which the procedure takes place

Performance of ultrasound procedures

Evaluate the image for quality, but also to interpret what was captured in the images.

Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure

Maintain all equipment, troubleshoot problems as needed, and call in for repairs when necessary

Communicating concerns immediately with referring physician

Charting ultrasound results when necessary

Qualifications

Two years minimum of ultrasound/sonography experience

Graduated from an accredited Sonography program

An active credential issued by the ARMS, Registered in OB required

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Advance computer skills, including email, Microsoft applications and ability to utilize EMR, Eclinical

Strong attention to detail
