    RICAR Business Consulting LLC (RBC) is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to provide diagnostic sonography services at a federal healthcare facility in the Portland, Oregon area. This position supports high-quality patient care through accurate imaging and professional clinical support. This position is contingent upon contract award.

    Job Description Summary

    The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist providers in the evaluation and treatment of patients. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical competence, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach in a regulated clinical environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
    • Prepare and position patients for procedures while ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity
    • Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
    • Accurately document procedures and maintain imaging records per facility standards
    • Identify anatomical structures and abnormalities for diagnostic interpretation
    • Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and quality assurance policies
    • Communicate effectively with radiologists, providers, and clinical staff
    • Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues as needed

    Required Experience

    • Minimum of two years of recent experience as an Ultrasound or Sonography Technologist
    • Experience performing general diagnostic ultrasound procedures in a clinical or hospital setting

    Education & Certifications

    Required:

    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
    • ARDMS certification in applicable modality
    • Current BLS certification

    Preferred:

    • Experience in a federal or VA healthcare environment
    • Additional specialty certifications are a plus

    Work Location & Arrangement

    • On-site position at a federal healthcare facility in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area
    • This role is not remote or hybrid

    Schedule & Position Type

    • Full-time or part-time opportunities may be available based on facility needs
    • W-2 position
    • Work schedules may include weekdays and rotating shifts depending on operational requirements

    Compensation Range

    • Hourly Rate: $40.00 – $75.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
    • Estimated Annual Equivalent: Approximately $83,200 – $156,000 (based on full-time hours)
