Position Overview

Providence Seaside Hospital is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations while providing compassionate, patient-focused care.

Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders.

Operate and maintain various ultrasound equipment.

Produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic images.

Adjust imaging techniques based on patient needs and clinical conditions.

Provide patient-focused care while considering age-specific and special needs.

Follow departmental procedures, clinical standards, and safety requirements.

Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and healthcare teams.

Maintain accurate documentation and support quality and patient safety initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Education sufficient to meet applicable licensing and certification requirements.

Oregon Sonographer License or Oregon Sonographer Temporary License required upon hire.

BLS – American Heart Association required upon hire.

ARDMS Certification required within 6 months (180 days) of hire.

Diagnostic ultrasound clinical experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of clinical diagnostic ultrasound experience preferred.

Previous hospital or healthcare diagnostic imaging experience.

Strong knowledge of ultrasound procedures and equipment.

Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.

Ideal Candidate: A skilled Ultrasound Technologist with strong diagnostic imaging experience, excellent patient-care skills, and the required Oregon licensing and ARDMS credentials.
