Job Description
We are seeking a front Office Coordinator to join our team! This position is responsible for initiating and maintaining patient administrative processes of the office ensuring patients receive accurate and timely service and product information.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage multi-line phone system
- Manage voicemail system
- Distribute messages to staff
- Document all calls
- Handle patient referrals by phone and fax
- Ensure all required information is received
- Use practice management software to create new patient accounts (data entry)
- Digitally file/manage patient intake information
- Create organized work flow based on patient needs
- Schedule patient appointments
- Communicate with insurance carriers to obtain patient benefits, eligibility and authorizations
- Communicate with patients regarding insurance information and financial responsibilities
- Provide information to patients about the services and supplies
- Troubleshoot and resolve patient issues as applicable to Front Office functions
- Maintain practice data base of patient information
- Demographics
- Medical information required for insurance purposes
- Patient insurance information
- Coordinate with Respiratory Therapist to prepare for patient appointments
- Ensure appropriate documentation is provided to patient at check out
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience with healthcare customer service (ie. insurance, hospital, physician practice)
- Experience with durable medical equipment a plus
- Experience with electronic medical records software a plus
- Experience with Brightree software a plus plus
- Detail oriented
- Ability to communicate and build rapport with clients
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Positive and professional demeanor and presentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience collaborating with other professionals in an office environment
