    Position Title: Umed Physician (Direct Patient Care) for Tele-Urgent Care

    Position StatusRemote

Uwill is expanding its Umed medical support options in response to growing client demand. Uwill provides on-demand teletherapy appointments in all modalities with licensed counselors based on student preferences, a direct crisis connection 24/7/365, prescription management, on-demand medical care, basic needs support, wellness programming, real-time data, and support.

    Position Overview

    We are seeking licensed Medical Doctors (MD/DO) to join our team and deliver high-quality, patient centered care in a telehealth urgent care setting. This role focuses primarily on delivery and oversight of direct patient care via the Uwill telehealth platform.

    Qualifications

    • Education and Training

      • Medical degree from US-accredited institution.

      • Board Certified in Emergency, Internal, or Family Medicine.

      • At least 3 years’ experience as a practicing direct care physician with a focus in urgent or primary care.

      • 3 years’ experience of providing care via telemedicine preferred.

    Licensure

    • Physicians currently holding at least 5 unrestricted licenses in the following priority states are strongly encouraged to apply: Kansas (KS), Ohio (OH), Nebraska (NE), Maryland (MD), Montana (MT), Missouri (MO), Maine (ME), Oregon (OR), Illinois (IL), Michigan (MI), New Mexico (NM), Minnesota (MN), California (CA), Georgia (GA), Florida (FL), Kentucky (KY), North Carolina (NC), Utah (UT), Arizona (AZ), New York (NY), Texas (TX). Preference will be given to candidates who hold Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLCC).

    • Unrestricted DEA registration and/or willing to obtain as needed in additional states.

    Other

    • Available to work some evening and weekend days each month

    • Experience working in a high-growth, fast-moving company preferred

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide timely, compassionate, and evidence-based medical care in a digital urgent care environment, including prescribing non-controlled substances as warranted

    • Diagnose and treat a wide range of non-emergency medical conditions

    • Order and interpret diagnostic testing as appropriate

    • Provide feedback on opportunities to improve Uwill’s model efficiency, tools, and responsiveness to Uwill users, especially attuned to Uwill’s fast-paced growth

    • Collect data, document member interactions, organize information, track tasks, and communicate with the team, members, and community resources as needed.
