Covert Investigations & Security is currently recruiting for Un-Armed School Security Guard positions within K-12 school districts throughout Eastern Suffolk County. We are looking to increase our outstanding Active & Retired Law Enforcement staff. Un-Armed positions begin at $28 per hour, with Monday through Friday tours available.

*** MUST have current or prior Law Enforcement experience ***

Retired personnel must have a Valid New York State security guard license.

The company is licensed, bonded, and insured by the State and operates under license #11000107825. The principal of the company, Donald R. Flynn, is a retired Detective Sergeant from the New York City Police Department. All employees of the company individually possess over 25 years of Emergency Management experience and combine both law enforcement and K-12 Administrative educational employment expertise. Currently the company provides consultation services for numerous school districts in New York and has worked extensively with one of the New York BOCES in conducting Security assessments and providing for the development for multi-year security plans and initiatives. Currently, we are responsible for the day-to-day security management of approximately 100,000+ students, 12,000+ staff, 100+ buildings and the oversight and training of approximately 500 active and retired law enforcement officers serving in the capacity of School Security Guards. We routinely conduct training sessions for faculty, staff, Administrators and are frequently called upon to present at PTA and Board of Education meetings.
