Security Officer – Unarmed (Overnight)

Reading, PA | Full-Time Overnight Assignment

Pay: $18.00/hour +$0.25/hour military & active-duty differential

KRE Security, LLC is hiring Unarmed Security Officers for a permanent overnight assignment in Reading, Pennsylvania. This role is ideal for dependable officers who prefer consistent weekend overnight hours, a structured environment, and professional responsibilities.

Schedule – Overnight

Monday - Thursday | 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Permanent overnight assignment

Full-time eligibility at 30+ hours/week

Overtime available when applicable

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a visible, professional security presence during overnight hours

Conduct routine foot and mobile patrols to deter unauthorized activity

Monitor access points, alarms, and overall site conditions

Respond to incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns

Accurately document incidents and daily activity reports (Belfry Software)

Enforce post orders, site policies, and standard operating procedures

Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and fellow officers

Requirements

Minimum 18 years of age

High school diploma or GED

Prior experience preferred, not required, in:

Unarmed security

Military service

Law enforcement

Experience with patrol operations, access control, and incident reporting preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Professional appearance and demeanor

Reliable attendance and punctuality

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation

Must pass a background check

Required in-person orientation prior to assignment

Must obtain and maintain required clearances, including:

FBI fingerprinting

PATCH (Pennsylvania Criminal History)

Child Abuse Clearance

$18.00/hour (site-specific)

+$0.25/hour military & active-duty differential

Overtime pay for hours worked over 40/week

Full-time eligibility at 30+ hours/week

Paid Time Off: 24 hours accrued after successful completion of probation
