Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Unarmed Security Officer to join our team at a residential community. This position focuses on maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, guests, and property staff.

The officer will be responsible for monitoring the property, managing building access, conducting patrols, and maintaining a visible security presence. The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, and able to remain calm and professional while handling a variety of situations.

This position is well suited for officers looking for a stable post with consistent hours in a residential environment.

Responsibilities

Monitor building entrances and exits

Control access to the property by verifying residents, guests, and vendors

Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols of the property

Maintain a visible security presence throughout the shift

Observe and report suspicious or unusual activity

Assist residents and guests when appropriate

Complete Daily Activity Reports and incident reports

Respond appropriately to incidents and notify management when required

Enforce property policies and security procedures

Qualifications

Previous security experience preferred

High school diploma or GED

Active DC Security Officer License

Strong observation and communication skills

Ability to write clear and accurate incident reports

Professional appearance and demeanor

Ability to work independently and remain attentive during overnight shifts

Reliable and punctual
