Overview The unarmed security officer plays a vital role in maintaining safety and security within assigned areas. This position involves regular patrolling, monitoring activities, and responding to incidents to ensure a secure environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a commitment to public safety, and the ability to handle various situations with professionalism and integrity.
Duties
Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to deter and detect criminal activity.
Respond promptly to alarms, calls for assistance, and emergency situations.
Enforce laws and regulations while providing assistance to the public as needed.
Document incidents accurately and thoroughly in reports for future reference.
Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary to address security concerns.
Skills
Proficient in security services techniques and practices.
Ability to work independently while remaining vigilant and observant.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with the public and reporting incidents clearly.
A background in military or law enforcement service is a plus but not required.
Able to perform prolonged standing, walking, and patrolling for long hours without excessive fatigue, maintain alertness, and possess the strength and stamina to react swiftly to emergencies
Licenses
Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Unarmed Security License required. *
