ABOUT: We are a startup that believes practice should be fun. Youth sports training is a fragmented multi-billion-dollar market that consists of tedious, costly, isolating and often unavailable activities. Uncaged sports leverages its proprietary computer vision technology to introduce the first AI-powered sensor-less soccer training app. Winners of the 2020 MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference’s startup competition, Uncaged Sports is founded by a successful CEO who has spent his career delivering AI based technologies.
JOB BRIEF
We are looking for a VP Operations to execute on all strategic and business aspects of the company. The ideal candidate will have a business mindset and will be able to see the “big picture” in a variety of settings, while not being afraid to roll up his/her sleeves and complete all kinds of tasks. The goal is to drive the company’s development and guide it towards long-term success.
Uncaged Sports is nearing its launch of its beta product on the app store and is in the process of raising a seed round. We are looking to make its first full-time non-developer hire to drive its business objectives forward. Compensation package will be a mix of salary and stock options. Salary is negotiable but will be weighted towards stock options.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute high quality business strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives
- Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission
- Construct financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or improvements
- Build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important shareholders
- Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth
- Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the company
- Help execute on marketing strategy
- Help execute on social media strategy
- Help the product team summarize beta feedback and implement meaningful changes in the product
- Create decks for sales, strategic partnerships and capital raising
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience playing collegiate or pro athletics; or similar passion and work experience
- Experience working with consumer-based technologies
- Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance etc.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills
- 3-5 years of applicable work experience
- Four-year degree from a top university; MBA or working towards one is an advantage
