THE OPPORTUNITY Are you thrilled by engaging investors and securing corporate financing? Do you love leveraging data and analytics to drive decision-making? Interested in learning how startups are financed and getting front-line experience with the due diligence and closing process?

    Reporting to and under the guidance of our Vice President of Community Growth (CG), the Research Analyst will be the right-hand-partner for investor relations, corporate financing, and other key community growth initiatives. Community Growth is responsible for cultivating the firm's most critical relationships for our mission, including our investors, advisors and talent. Key performance indicators for the department this year include (confidential): raising an additional $3M+ for our convertible note, launching our priced equity round (likely Series B), initiating other non-dilutive capital funding sources, and producing quarterly shareholder reports, conference calls, and events for our investor community. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing strategies on achieving the aforementioned KPIs, including engaging and closing investors, reporting and managing our existing shareholder community, as well as

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Serve as project lead and researcher for financial capital acquisition and investor relations, underneath the Vice President of Community Growth (CG), in developing and executing strategies to achieve corporate financing milestones.
    • Build quarterly shareholder reports by effectively aggregating and analyzing company activities and milestones across departments, synthesizing into a cohesive narrative for investors, and producing robust documents.
    • Produce seamless shareholder calls for our CEO and investor community, including Series A investors, as well as our Board of Advisors.
    • Manage investor pipeline and communications to ensure the accuracy of data is reported in Data Rooms, Shareholder Reports, and other critical documents.
    • Research select projects related to investor relations and capital raising; this may include valuation analysis, as well as landscaping investor profiles and contact information for family offices, project finance firms, VCs, and more.  
    • Manage critical relationships and accounts for the investor, advisory, and other CG needs by keeping individuals engaged, releasing individuals (as needed), generating excitement, and more.
    • Serve as an analytic, data-based, and detail-oriented and supplemental coordinator for the CG department, including executing various administrative activities such as scheduling meetings and data entry.
    • Document, organize and synthesize notes CG external meetings, and leverage insights to drive investment strategy forward.
    • Lead all research and documentation management for the CG intelligence on appropriate platforms.
    • Educate VIP guests and individuals about Uncharted Power by hosting tours of our office, attending select on-site and off-campus events, and conducting intake and informational interviews.
    • Source and interpret data to provide ongoing reports to drive data-based decision-making for the department.
    • Identify, define, and implement new processes for CG improvement opportunities based on research and data analysis.
    • Conduct landscape research and generate reports on investor hotspots globally, as well as trends in the market.
    • Manage various software platforms, such as ClearSlide and BreezyHR, and maintain complete records of CG pipelines.
    • Support on strategy, research, and operations for “special tasks” assigned to Community Growth (this may be related to Disney, external pilot partners, etc.)
    • Assist in other activities, as well as other departments/company duties as they are assigned.

    Qualifications

    • B.S. in Business, Finance or related field; M.S. preferred
    • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
    • Deep understanding of fundamental financial capital principles
    • Passion for strategy, data analytics, and investment
    • A high degree of comfort with ambiguity in early-phase investigative projects
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams
    • Professional judgment and discretion
    • Ability to protect highly confidential information
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
