  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    We are seeking three interns to join our Pricing & Reserving US Health team in Minneapolis.

    Intern 1:

    • Start date: June 2nd, 2026. End date: December 17th, 2026.
    • 35 hours per week, June 2nd through August 28th.
    • 20 hours per week, August 31st through December 17th

    Intern 2:

    • Same as Intern 1

    Intern 3:

    • Start date: September 1st, 2026. End date: December 17th, 2026.
    • 20 hours per week.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Manage underwriting pipeline activity for new and renewal business
    • Identify missing or incomplete information in Request for Proposals (RFPs)
    • Utilize pricing model to develop manual and experience rates for excess medical business
    • Assist in Key Performance Indicator tracking, including close ratio, persistency, and RFP volume
    • Ensure work product is compliant with internal guidelines
    • Complete additional actuarial projects as required, such as "laser" analysis, experience studies, and support in the population of the RFP database
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or graduate degree program.
    • Since the insurance industry offers complex, dynamic, and exciting positions, we welcome candidates who have various majors, backgrounds, and experiences. We are most interested in students who are serious about entering the Insurance industry and those majoring in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Risk Management or similar disciplines.
    • Keen to learn and pay attention to detail.
    • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task.
    • Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
    • Highly collaborative and versatile, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
    • Eligible candidates must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
