    • Our client, a leading national insurance company, has an immediate opening for an Underwriting Manager to work on a hybrid basis in their Anaheim office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a prominent industry leader with significant potential for personal and professional growth.
    • The Underwriting Manager will oversee personal home and commercial multi-peril (CMP) lines. The Underwriting Manager manages a team of 10 underwriters, guiding risk evaluation, pricing, and policy approvals for portfolios that include HOAs, condominiums, homeowners, and other property accounts. The Underwriting Manager position offers the chance to work closely with brokers, agents, and internal partners to deliver competitive, profitable solutions while ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of 10 underwriters for personal home and CMP lines.
    • Review and approve personal and commercial property accounts, including homeowners, liability, and business interruption coverage.
    • Build strong relationships with brokers, agents, and clients to deliver tailored insurance solutions.
    • Negotiate policy terms, conditions, and pricing to balance competitiveness with profitability.
    • Monitor portfolio performance, analyze loss trends, and implement strategies to improve results.
    • Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices while enhancing processes and tools for efficiency.

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years’ leadership experience in personal lines homeowners and/or commercial property underwriting.
    • Expertise in risk evaluation, pricing, and portfolio management.
    • Proven team leadership and development skills.
    • Bachelor’s degree: CPCU, ARM, or AU preferred.
    • Willingness to travel as needed.

    Compensation:

    • Base salary to 200k/year
    • PPO Medical & Dental Insurance, Vision & Life Insurance
    • 401k, and Paid Vacation & Sick Days
    • Hybrid work schedule after 90 days (3 days in office and 2 days remote. Fridays are remote. Mondays are in office. Tues-Wed-Thursday are flex days for remote.)
