Product Manager, Commercial Lines/ Insurance
Job Description
The product manager will focus on commercial lines to develop insights and identify process improvements, and carrier connections to our data assets. Contribute to day-to-day operations of the Custom Insights team – a team dedicated to delivering measurable value to insurance carriers, especially the top 10 carriers by line of business. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with product management team and analytics team to identify and document data insights at a client and industry level -- creating ad hoc reports, interacting with customers to identify analytic needs based on ISO data, clients contributions and industry trends.

About the Day-to-Day Responsibilities of the Role
Explore data developed insights produced by team to add context, color, and a story around the observations.
Leverage knowledge of P&C industry – commercial lines to inform and validate customer needs.
Work with internal stakeholders and external clients to identify needs/requirements for data insights reports and translate those requirements to the data analytics team to ensure appropriate data is captured and leveraged.
Create insurance industry reports and insights for commercial lines that leverage best practices in data visualization.
Work with marketing and leadership to craft messages and deliver content to appropriate audiences through multiple media channels.
Manage timelines and deliveries of scheduled monthly and quarterly deliverables.
Work closely with the Product, Data and Operations Management staff in the development, implementation, maintenance and regular distribution of useful measurement reports that will have high visibility at the leadership and executive level.
Analyze complex processes and workflows to identify and implement improvements to increase productivity and improve cycle time resulting in significant business improvement and customer satisfaction.
Research industry trends and competitive publications/reports.

Qualifications
Must have insurance carrier experience in a commercial line.
Must be self-motivated
Four-year college degree in Business, Actuarial, Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline.
7+ years’ experience within the Property/Casualty industry focused on one or more of the commercial lines of business (businessowners, commercial auto, commercial property and general liability). Must have an insurance background.
Experience working with insurance data and analytics.
Strong data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent writing, proofreading, communication and presentation skills.
Ability to distill complex concepts into language that is understandable and compelling to business decision-makers.
Must be highly organized and able to work efficiently on multiple projects to meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
Business Intelligence experience, user experience design, and data visualize experience a plus
