    Essential Job Duties

    • Conducts testing of network design and UC/VoIP/VTC architecture.
    • Support for NIPR and SIPR VTC's and Unclassified/Classified meetings.
    • Support for NIPR and SIPR VoIP endpoints and soft clients.
    • Responsible for all aspects of Operating and Maintaining (O&M) the secure configuration/upgrade VoIP/VTC systems including end user devices, hardware and software, and paperwork to include, but not limited to, IAVA DRA’s/POA&M’s, ATO, RMF
    • Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, firewalls, switches, session controllers, gateways, etc.
    • Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities.
    • Exhibits exceptional ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness.
    • Acts independently on technical matters pertaining to assigned field and related disciplines.
    • Must be entirely self-supervisory.
    • Recommends technologies to accomplish long-term objectives.
    • Develops concepts, products, or technologies that extend knowledge in fields of expertise.
    • Provides technical leadership and mentors team members and SOSi colleagues.
    • Interacts closely with customer representatives on highly advanced technical issues.
    • Independently composes and delivers reports and presentations of the highest professional quality.
    • Provision, secure, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and provide service management of multi-vendor VoIP technologies including Oracle Session Border Controllers (SBC), Cisco Unified Border Elements (CUBE), Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Avaya AS5300, Avaya CM/Aura SBCEs and Ribbon Application Server/PSX/Analytics/RAMP/SBCs. Video Teleconferencing technologies such as Cisco Expressway, Cisco Meeting Server and Cisco/Poly codecs.
    • Guide subordinate units with troubleshooting and resolving UC issues.
    • Guide subordinate issues with prepping for security inspections on UC equipment.
    • Track and report subordinate units progress in upgrading sites to modern UC Technologies and provide guidance when the subordinate units experience obstacles.
    • Provide courses of actions and recommendations when UC issues arise that require leadership decisions.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Active in scope SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain Interim SECRET eligibility.
    • HS +15 or AA/AS +13 or BA/BS +11 years of technical experience in UC/VoIP to include 5+ years senior VoIP/UC experience.
    • IAT II certification (CCNA, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) required.
    • CCNA Enterprise, CCNP Collaboration, or approved Ribbon/Avaya certification w/in 180 days of hire.
    • Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as necessary.
    • Participate in rotational on-call duties to provide after-hours support.
    • Willing to travel to Contingency of Operations Plan (COOP) or CONUS sites as directed.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Working or expert knowledge of Zervina, T-Metrics, Callegra or NetPlus TMS products.
    • Expert in Ribbon Communications or Genband/Sonus Networks product management. Expert in Ribbon Communications or Genband/Sonus Networks product management. Experience in Cisco/Avaya/Nortel product management would be considered if candidate has extensive knowledge.
    • Advanced knowledge of network technologies such as routing and switching. Able to review firewall, router and switch configurations to identify configuration issues.
    • Experience with AESMP (ServiceNow).

    Work Environment

    • Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Working from home may be possible but must have the ability to reach an ARMY P/C/S within one hour.
    • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
    • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable).
