    We are looking for a highly motivated Systems Architect specializing in SD-WAN with a very strong networking and Linux administration background who also shares a passion for automation to join our Team.

    The individual will work very closely with the CIO and our development team to help bring our product to market. The individual will be responsible to review our current design, propose improvements following industry best practices with a strong emphasis on security and create and maintain documentation as required.

    Our Company is a “start-up” that will disrupt the telecommunications industry by leveraging distributed ledger technology (blockchain) which is integrated in our solution.

    The position is initially a contactor position (90 days) then converts to a full-time employee. The full-time employee position (W2) has an excellent base salary, compensation package and perks.

    The position will begin as “remote” with the possibility on being on site as things normalize in the future.

    The individual will have:

    • a very strong networking and systems administration background
    • Solid knowledge of networking and network layers
    • Excellent trouble-shooting skills
    • Design and implement solutions as per specifications and future improvements/scalability
    • Have the mindset on always scaling our products
    • Ability to certify our solution on both hardware and cloud
    • Create and maintain documentation as required
    • Evaluate new hardware platforms as required
    • Stress test / benchmark our platform
    • Design and help implement a global monitoring, alerting solution and network health dashboard (with the assistance of the Development Team)
    • Work with 3rd party vendors
    • Ability to self-organize, take ownership, initiative and clearly communicate intent
    • Initially, we are a completely remote team so the ability to communicate effectively in a remote environment is key to being a part of this team

    Necessary Skills:

    • Ability to work with the FD.io/VPP (Vector Packet Processor)
    • Experience with FRRRouting
    • CCIE certification OR equivalent experience
    • BGP, OPSF, RIP, BFD and other routing protocols
    • IP SEC, GRE, VLXAN, GENEVE and other tunneling protocol experience
    • Linux System Admin level skills

    Extras:

    • Experience with DPDK (Data Plane Development Kit)
    • Open Network Linux (ONL) experience a PLUS
    • JIRA and Confluence for collaboration
    • Python experience
    • Virtualization experience (KVM, Docker)
