REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read and interpret financial statements from an accounting perspective.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (a must)
Advanced proficiency of MS Excel (a must)
Advanced proficiency of MS Access (preferred)
Advanced proficiency of MS PowerBI (preferred)
Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) experience, is a plus
Marine terminal / logistic knowledge is a plus
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 (fifty) pounds occasionally
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain a positive attitude in the work environment
POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for a detail oriented, organized, and analytical person to work with our Accounting Manager and the accounting team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the tracking, recording, finalizing and analysis of terminal operations expense and revenue accounts and their related financial data.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and submit a yearly budget and quarterly reforecast
Analyze and create reports on analysis of revenue, cost, and expenses
Evaluate budget and make necessary changes to reflect current figures and forecasting
Ensure accuracy in principal cost estimation and timely submission of provisional expenses
Collaborate with other departments to ensure on time and accurate daily posting of operational vendor expenses
Verify principal costs debited against the provisional expenses reported and justify for variances
Estimate and analyze principal expenses with the aim of reducing costs and achieve savings
Identify and initiate improvement areas, developing accounting control procedures and best practices to enhance overall accounting operations, work quality and efficiency
Provide analytical analysis of financials to be used by the Board of Directors and management to make decisions on the future of the terminals
Observe and follow company policies, compliances, and procedures
Record-keep and report in a structured and organized matter
Improves financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, recommending actions to management

HOURS: Normal working hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM with possible extended hours.
