    Company Introduction

    Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned user-experience (UX) designer to lead the re-definition of our digital products. We are seeking a leader who can translate our user needs, business requirements and any technical limitations into simple, effective, and elegant experiences for patients, doctors, and other key users of our proprietary product ecosystem.

The UX designer will be expected to design the overall functionality of Uniform Teeth's products. This person will be responsible for creating and conducting user research, prototyping exercises, interviews, and surveys, and then translating those insights into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and working prototypes to rapidly test with end-users.

You'll be involved in every part of the product development cycle from conception to launch, for projects big and small, and take ownership of the Uniform product suite. This position is full-time and based in San Francisco, CA.

    Responsibilities

    1. Oversee UX for two primary products at Uniform - our EMR and our Patient App
    2. Deliver work that's not only user-friendly, aesthetically engaging, but which also produces results - primarily focused on 1) growth, 2) efficiency, 3) NPS
    3. Develop a deep understanding of the problems you're solving—and become a relentless voice of the patient for the company
    4. Gather insights via in-person user observation, interview and prototype sessions with Uniform's teams and patients
    5. Validate insights into a distinct product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences.
    6. Translate insights into working concepts via user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive, simple, delightful user experiences.
    7. Partner with Product Managers, Marketing, and Engineers to oversee the user experience of new features and products from conception until launch (and then some)
    8. Execute in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity
    9. Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product teams
    10. Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.
    11. Always strive to delight a patient through simplify and integration of tasks

    Requirements

    1. Five or more years of UX design experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments - healthcare experience is a plus.
    2. Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer, and the like is a must. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
    3. Ability to work with stakeholders to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision.
    4. Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
    5. A solid grasp of design thinking,  user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
    6. Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
    7. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
    8. Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model, to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
    9. Be passionate about resolving business and patient pain points through great design.
    10. Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
    11. Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry's latest trends and technologies.
