    ABOUT UNIFORM TEETH

We believe that straight teeth have the power to transform lives by improving health and confidence.

At Uniform Teeth, we're on a mission to make access to high-quality orthodontic care easier and more affordable. Our proprietary use of 3D technology can cut down treatment times from years to months. And, our app allows consumers to track their journey and get immediate support from our trained staff and a team of UCSF doctors.

Over the next two years, we will be scaling rapidly and we'll do this with an amazing team with experience from Twitter, One Medical Group, Zipcar, UCSF, and Harvard. And our investors believe in our mission. They've also invested in Allbirds, Casper, Warby Parker, and Airbnb.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for an Orthodontic Assistant who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, digital environment and enjoys interacting with patients. In this role, you will use the latest technology in patient orthodontic patient care and will be part of a team transforming the future of orthodontics.

You are hard-working, detail-oriented, approachable, helpful, and positive. You enjoy staying busy, act with a sense of urgency, and love to provide an amazing, personalized experience to your patients. You will lead patient follow-up visits as a clinical expert, clearly articulating treatment procedures and goals to the patient, and acting as a liaison between the doctor and patient.

    HOW YOU'LL HAVE AN IMPACT

    • Prepare for appointments: calling to confirm, reviewing patient records via EMR, providing an overview to the doctor, filling template trays with composite, and setting up exam rooms.
    • Complete appointment follow-ups: cleaning up exam rooms, sterilizing equipment, exporting patient scans and x-rays, and submitting thorough notes in patient records.
    • Perform procedures independently, such as indirect deliveries of orthodontic attachments to patients' teeth, and assist the doctor in four-handed procedures.
    • Manage appointment flow, ensuring that your work and the doctor's work is done efficiently to meet appointment time allocations.
    • Establish relationships with patients, making them feel comfortable and reinforcing credibility in a professional, helpful, and enthusiastic manner.
    • Maintain clinic equipment such as scanners, x-rays, and dental units.
    • Contribute to clinic initiatives to grow and improve the experience by delighting patients.

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING

    • Previous dental experience or recent dental assisting graduate preferred. Or, 2+ years prior experience in a health care setting assisting medical professionals required.
    • Experience working with EMRs, x-rays, intra-oral scanners, and uploading digital files preferred.
    • Collaborative, empathetic, patient, and a positive attitude.
    • Adaptable and flexible - excited to work in an environment that is constantly evolving.
    • Team player with a willingness to jump in wherever help is needed.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient typing (40 words per minute).
    • X-ray and CPR certified preferred or willingness to complete certification training.
    • Ability to start at 7:30 am M-F and work occasional Saturdays.

    WHAT WE'LL BRING

    • $20-25/hour, based on experience
    • Competitive medical, dental, and vision coverage
    • 401(k)
    • Opportunity for growth as the company expands
    • Free orthodontic treatment after 90 days of employment
