POSITION SUMMARY: The College Savings Operations Officer will serve as a point of contact for the standard procedures and daily duties of the CSP Operations area. Ability to look at processes/procedures with a critical/analytical eye and make high pressure decisions. This position will serve as support/backup to high level duties throughout the Operations area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Process trade corrections and letters of indemnity including collection for losses.
- Responsible for the high dollar transaction verification.
- Process and monitor aggregation of accounts for continued plan compliance with Plan Trust and Internal Revenue Code 529 requirements.
- Assist with pulling data, reports and documents for internal and external audit purposes.
- Generate and review various monthly/quarterly department reconciliation worksheets for the bank’s monthly RCP review.
- Assist as needed entries of daily work totals to various omnibus accounting software.
- Serve as back-up to the CSP officers duties which include, but are not limited to, NSCC set up and processing, DST FanMail coordination, Morningstar reporting, commissions processing/reporting, rebalancing of CSP assets in trust accounting system, and write off reporting.
- Obtain the knowledge and ability to assist all CSP Operations staff when needed.
- Maintain Workflow system. Gain knowledge of system capabilities and implement enhanced features as needed to create/maintain a smooth, efficient workflow process.
- Maintain system and process monthly credit card rewards amounts. Transfer rewards on a quarterly basis to the designated 529 account.
- Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required.
- Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Performs other job related duties or special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
- Four years of operations, college savings plan experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of 529 college savings plan products and rules required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and in working with other financial software.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

HOURS: Full Time, Hours Vary.
