  • Responsibilities

    The Sr. Operations Manager is responsible for leading a team that fabricates performance staging equipment and architectural railing systems, as well as the shipping/receiving operations. This position is responsible for the safety, quality, customer service and all manufacturing costs. The Sr. Operations Manager works with the team to review schedules, plan/execute work in the shop and drive operational efficiencies.

    • Oversee Operations Manager and Shipping/Receiving Supervisors
    • Manage daily activities of production and shipping/receiving to ensure product is completed on time while meeting quality and cost standards
    • Manage continuous improvement of existing and new production processes
    • Proactively coordinate staffing requirements in collaboration with VP of Operations and HR
    • Collaborate with production, operations and project management teams to review work schedules and determine priorities
    • Lead development initiatives for direct reports

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Bachelors degree in Business Management/Administration, Operations Management, Engineering or related
    • At least three years of relevant manufacturing and/or supply chain experience
    • At least two years of management experience
    • Strong leadership, collaboration, communication and customer service skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
    • Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems

    PREFERRED

    • Lean manufacturing experience
    • Custom manufacturing, metal fabrication or construction experience
    • Completion of OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 training

  • Qualifications

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    1. High school graduate or equivalent.
    2. Previous experience in equivalent position, preferably in a hospital or health care setting required.
    3. Medical Office, Transcription, Office (Business) Technology or related Program preferred.
    4. Knowledge of health care environment, health insurance, medical terminology, ICD-9 Codes as well as working knowledge of clinical services; laboratory, radiology and cardiopulmonary.
    5. Excellent interpersonal skills/ability to work well with people projecting a positive image for the

         Hospital.

    1. Excellent communication, organizational and detail skills.
    2. Ability to work independently and prioritize work.
    3. Demonstrated proficiency in typing, ten key, data entry and PC knowledge.
    4. Ability to remain calm and function well in stressful situations.
