    BILINGUAL SHARED LIVING PROVIDER

    Location: Holyoke or Springfield

DO YOU HAVE AN EXTRA BEDROOM? OPEN YOUR HEART BY OPENING YOUR HOME.

Gandara is actively seeking SHARED LIVING PROVIDERS ON A FULL-TIME BASIS in Western Massachusetts.  SHARED LIVING is a supported living arrangement where caring people share their homes and lives with a person with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

SHARED LIVING IS A LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIP AND IS SIMILAR TO ADDING A MEMBER TO YOUR FAMILY.  Gandara supports people by matching them with an individual, a couple, or a family that is able to provide them with a flexible and safe environment.  As a Shared Living Provider, you support a person with their activities of daily life, including meal preparation, medication management, and financial transactions.  You will also assist the person with their social activities and community participation.  Your support will help to improve the quality of life by enabling a person to be more independent and stay connected to their community.

As a SHARED LIVING PROVIDER, you will BE COMPENSATED WITH A MONTHLY TAX-FREE STIPEND.  The monthly stipend amount varies depending on the level of need required for the person you are supporting.  The person supported pays their personal expenses.

Gandara provides all Shared Living Providers with ongoing training and support to ensure they have the expertise, skills, and resources available to provide excellent care.  Gandara will also provide monthly in-house visits as well as 24-hour emergency on-call assistance.
