<p><strong>Sr. Business Analyst for Business Intelligence</strong> </p><p>Location: Sacramento Area (Roseville)&nbsp;</p><p>Send resume to Barzin.daragahi@unisys.com&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Position Overview:</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Full-time permanent role.&nbsp;</p><p>The role of the Senior Business Analyst is to lead the development of the business requirements and needs assessment for a BI project and to work with the delivery teams to ensure the solution design will meet the business needs. The Senior BI Business Analyst will be the primary project liaison with business users. This role also works with the business teams or organizational change agent to ensure that changes to process design and workflow are addressed as part of the overall solution.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Leads the requirements analysis/sessions to identify BI business requirements that represent current, near-term and longer-term business needs.</li><li>Uses various methods to collect business and functional requirements for the project, including researching business plans, performing data analysis, reviewing business process descriptions, reviewing existing reports, queries and documentation, and conducting group requirements sessions, one-on-one interviews or JAD sessions.</li><li>Coordinates source data profiling activities and incorporate results into requirements documentation, for business validation and approval.</li><li>Identify data quality and integrity issues. Provide resolution recommendations after performing in-depth analysis of issues.</li><li>Acts as a translator between business needs and solution detailed specifications for the development team, assists in clarifying discrepancies in requirements, validates source to target mappings and assists in the design and testing of the user interface.</li><li>Define and document the required business metadata for the metadata solution</li><li>Provides training support, both from a training development and a training delivery perspective.</li><li>Provides testing support.</li><li>Prepares assigned deliverables and coordinates review sessions both with the internal team and the client.</li><li>Direct the activities and tasks of other business analysts on the team. &nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Skills, Experience, and Qualifications</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li><strong>5 years of Senior Business Analyst experience with Business Intelligence implementation experience and have a good understanding of the software development lifecycle. </strong></li><li>Experience in California State and Local Government projects is highly desirable.</li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills.</li><li>Ability to understand and articulate overall business goals and objectives and work with the business to prioritize.</li><li>Ability to conduct requirements definition sessions and facilitate group requirements review and other working sessions at all levels.</li><li>Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements.</li><li>Ability to train, mentor and support users with BI application use.</li><li>Capabilities in the area of change management and business case development.</li><li>Ability to read/understand/communicate logical and physical data models.</li><li>Teamwork and relationship building skills.</li><li>Problem-solving skills are essential.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Desirable attributes</strong></p><ul><li>Relevant experience within the Public Sector.</li><li>Relevant experience with Welfare Eligibility Systems.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Unisys </strong>is a worldwide information technology company.
