    Job Description

    Due to COVID-19, UUCLB has moved much of its worship and programs online. The Technical Coordinator will lead the congregation in livestreaming Sunday services and serve as primary leader for church social media – managing lay teams where necessary to produce a clear, friendly, and consistent message via our Website, Facebook page, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.This is a position that requires onsite weekly visits, 8:30 am-12:30 pm Sundays.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Coordinate the technical aspects of live-streamed and online worship, Sunday mornings from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm Pacific Time

    • Develop a social media presence for UUCLB, including social media postings on Facebook, Instagram, possibly Twitter

    • Create and maintain consistent use of graphics, fonts and language to present a unified and clear image across media channels, including social media and title slides in online Worship.

    • Post-production editing and posting services for archival purposes as needed

    • Trouble-shoot or brainstorm with ministry team ways to enhance the online worship experience for participants

    • Receive reservations for and manage (calendar) online (Zoom) meetings, and where appropriate interface with web team to administrate re-directs (like uuclb.org/service or uuclb.org/meetings/board).

    • Attend weekly staff meeting, monthly Web Team, Virtual Communications Committee and other meetings as needed

    • Advise ministry and lay teams on effective online engagement

    ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

    • Proficiency with non-linear video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Shotcut, Filmora, IMovie etc.)

    • Skilled with audio editing, including volume matching clips, noise reduction.

    • Graphic Design knowledge, experience with Adobe Photoshop, MS Publisher, Canva, or similar design software.

    • Familiarity with basic web design and social media

    • Proficient with live stream technology including video recording, camera, lighting, and sound balancing on site.

    • Proficient with Google Suite, Powerpoint and other Office programs

In addition, our Technical/Communications Coordinator is expected to use language in work and professional communications that is inclusive of all people, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, family status, class or religion.

     

    Candidates should have access to reliable high-speed internet strong enough to host Zoom meetings and Sunday worship and their own computer.
