    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY – RECRUITER

    United Aviate Academy (UAA) is actively seeking a qualified and reliable remote recruiter to interview and prepare students for the positions within the Academy. As a recruiter you will collaborate with Academy Services and mainline pilot hiring for Aviate Academy on a regular basis while proactively identifying future needs. As part of your role, you are required to use multiple platforms to attract students like social media, referrals, job fairs, conferences, etc. Ultimately, the responsibility of the Recruiter is to ensure UAA attracts, place and retains the best students, while growing a strong talent pipeline. If you have proven experience in a talent acquisition role, with excellent organizational and leadership abilities, then you are the person for us. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a good understanding of the recruiting process, as the placement for students in our Academy has never been done before. In addition, outstanding written and verbal communication skills are a must.

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES FOR RECRUITER

    • Source and recruit students by using databases, social media etc.to develop the strongest, diverse student pipeline for open seats in upcoming cohort or classes
    • Screen students job applications and resume’s
    • Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter students within scheduled events
    • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes
    • Act as a point of contact and build influential student relationships during the selection process
    • Promote company’s reputation as “best place to work”
    • Manage the student experience serving as their point of contact throughout the recruitment
    • process from start to finish
    • Develop strategies to build and engage diverse pipelines of external students through resume screening, sourcing, attending job fairs and events and engaging in community activities.
    • Develops marketing strategies for open seats including referral programs, media campaigns, etc. 
    • Utilize full range of recruiting methods including Internet and online database searches,
    • industry/trade/professional associations, and attending job fairs and conferences
    • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
    • Monitor expenses and control the budget for region
    • Provides outreach to school and partner orgs
    • Learn Taleo/Modern Hire end to end
    • Partners with Aviate program managers and recruiters
    • Disposition candidates throughout application life cycle
    • Ensures 100% data accuracy when filling requisitions to ensure timely onboarding of candidates

    QUALIFICATIONS

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    EXPERIENCE

    • 1-3 years of recruiting experience in a high-volume environment
    • Demonstrated experience sourcing and engaging with students and maintaining robust
    • talent pipelines
    • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
    • Experience in an office/business professional setting and eager to develop best in class operations practices and systems
    • Excellent leadership and management skills
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff members
    • Experience working for a small to mid-size growing business part of a larger company is a plus
    • Excellent time management, follow-through and organizational skills
    • Strong communication and ability to build relationships with all levels of personnel
    • Strategic and forward-thinking
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy and ability to delegate work as needed

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
    • Previous Talent Acquisition experience in pilot hiring will be a plus
    • ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, BEHAVIORS
    • Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, valuing compliance and ethical behavior
    • Strong decision-making skills
    • Excellent interviewing, multi-tasking, prioritizing, organizational, project management, customer service, and problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrated experience sourcing students for pilot hiring
    • Familiarity with hiring procedures as well as current staffing industry issues and trends
    • Strong knowledge of social media and demonstrated usage of tools such as LinkedIn
    • Ability to handle highly confidential information
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
    • Understanding of employment laws, policies, practices and trends
    • Strong computer skills including strong knowledge of HRIS systems, experience with Taleo is preferred
    • Attention to detail, while appropriately balancing accuracy and speed
    • Positive attitude, with a willingness to learn new responsibilities, adapt to change, collaborate as a team-player, and has a passion for continuous improvement
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present effectively to small and large groups

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
