    Quality Manager

    OVERALL ROLE:

    Oversee the planning, coordinating, and directing of quality-related activities as related to QMS compliance. Reporting directly to Ownership, the Quality Manager exercises direct leadership and responsibility for all aspects of the businesses’ quality system, including the Quality Control staff.

    Responsibilities:

    · Lead, train, and coach quality staff on appropriate skills and techniques.

    · Enforce documentation and recordkeeping practices for QMS compliance, including document control for procedures and work instructions.

    · Act as the lead for ISO 9001:2015 and other audits.

    · Administer and report on the internal audit program.

    · Responsible for determining root issues needing corrective measures and directing management to take appropriate actions.

    · Enforce elements of change control when updates are made or processes are altered.

    · Coordinate with internal staff and outside service providers to ensure that all equipment calibrations are in compliance with quality standards.

    · Prepare various certificates for out-going shipments as needed.

    · Perform metrology as required for quality engineering purposes.

    · Schedule and coordinate management review meetings. Keep management review records.

    · Track and report quality metrics.

    Qualifications

    · Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of science preferred.

    · Proficient in reading prints and drawings regarding dimensions and tolerances.

    · High degree of capability with measuring tools (i.e. micrometers, calipers, gauge pins, and standards).

    · Experience with OGP measure mind Optical Measurement and Zwick/Roell Tensile Testing a plus.

    · Prior experience in quality management or quality engineering.

    · Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office products.

    · Capable of training others as needed.

    · Possess a strong commitment to the production of quality product.

    · Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.

    · Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
