  • Responsibilities

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Wild Adventures Human Resources department is responsible for recruiting/staffing, employment, benefits, employee relations, compensation and other duties associated with personnel.  Preferably, the HUMAN RESOURCES FRONT DESK team member is currently enrolled in a high school cooperative/work-based learning program or college/university program with an interest in the field of Human Resources.  This position is a part-time, seasonal position, working approximately 20 hours per week.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Primary responsibilities will be to assist the HR team with daily office operations including but not limited to:

    • Answer phones, greet guests, sort mail, fax
    • Update and create employee ID’s and name tags
    • Maintenance of personnel files
    • Process in employees to include compliance with drug screening procedure, as well as order backgrounds checks, motor vehicle reports and credit check
    • Coordinate and track employee recognition programs

    Additional responsibilities may include assisting with managing applicants, include internal and external communication of available positions

    • Review applications and screen qualifications of applicants for a variety of seasonal positions

    • Assist with on-site hiring events

    • Prepare for new hire orientation by creating information packets and preparing wardrobe items for attendees

    • Ability to facilitate new hire orientations

    • Other projects as assigned

    • Must be willing to work outside his or her zone of assignment to fulfill general park needs on occasion

    • Ensure compliance with all Herschend Family Entertainment and Wild Adventures policies and procedures

    • Represents the company to guests and other team members in a positive and friendly manner 

    • Satisfies Wild Adventures' standards for performance and conduct. For example, reports to work regularly and on time

    • "Create Memories Worth Repeating" for our Guests by exceeding guest expectations

    • Perform other duties as assigned

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: Primary workspace will be an indoor, professional office setting; occasionally requires outdoor work in all weather conditions and in presence of dust and odors. May be susceptible to the exposure of various chemicals, bodily fluids and blood borne pathogens, prolonged exposure to sunlight

    Required Experience

    EDUCATION: 

    • Currently enrolled in High School, High School Graduate, or GED preferred

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    • Competency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be at least 16 years of age
    • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
    • Must be available to work days, evenings, weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed
    • Must have reliable transportation
