    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Production Control Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination and control of the manufacturing processes. The Production Control Manager ensures the correct amount of goods and services are produced timely, efficiently, at the right cost and quality level. The scope of the job includes, but is not limited to: order planning, customer service, production coordination and shipment forecast and planning.

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Oversee the timely arrival of all raw materials and graphics, and schedule production to meet customer delivery requirements
    • Ensure that the production is cost effective, produced on-time and is of good quality
    • Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed
    • Coordinate and manage the work-in-process and finished goods inventories through the SAP system
    • Maintain positive relationships between Customer Service, Production Departments, Sales, Suppliers, and the Customer
    • Serve as a troubleshooter resource for Customer Service and Manufacturing
    • Manage the technology transfers between the Customer, Production Control, and Manufacturing
    • Work with the customer and joint continuous improvement efforts
    • Initiate/lead projects that improve customer satisfaction and/or reduce manufacturing costs
    • Advise and communicate to the Customer Service Manager on all customer-related issues
    • Work with managers to implement the company's policies and goals
    • Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed
    • Supervise and motivate a team of workers including Production Control, Shipping and Receiving.
    • Review the performance of team
    • Implement Lean Manufacturing

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    • Experience– 5-7 years supervisory/management experience (manufacturing preferred). Excellent highly developed people and communication skills.
    • Education– Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
    • Technical– ERP system experience required, SAP preferred; Intermediate/Advanced MS Office. Strong business and technical sense.

  • Qualifications

    EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
    • Current Virginia Nursing License
    • Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
    • Minimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Op/PACU
    • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
    • Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
    • Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
    • Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors
    • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
    • Excellent teaching skills
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Demonstrate strong professional and ethical behavior
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and fellow employees. (TEAMWORK)
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Demonstrate accountability, creativity, innovation and be receptive to change
    • Possess basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
