The Superintendent – Power and Recovery position is a leadership role and is responsible for the safe and stable operation of the Augusta Mill Power and recovery operation.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Oversight of department work systems, procedures, training and certifications.
Four Shift Supervisors and 50+ Operators
Exhibiting safety leadership and encouraging safety engagement
Ensuring 100% environmental compliance
Ensuring 100% compliance to State, insurance and company operating regulations
Maximizing crew engagement through 5s and safety improvements
Continuously improving crew training, blended learning, and certification activities
Meeting 3PQP expectations
Establishing, sustaining, and improving work systems essential to ensuring Power Plant reliability and sustainability
Monitoring overall Power and Recovery process health
Working with Manufacturing excellence (ME) organization and process engineering to implement sustainable cost reduction projects
Working with Reliability organization and process control implement sustainable reliability improvement projects
Support Major outage planning and execution activities
