We connect thousands of veterinary practices with pet parents from local employer groups via a voluntary benefit offering.     UPC is looking for an experienced Sales Rep / Account Executive to help quickly scale our client base and identify new revenue opportunities from prospecting to close. As an Account Executive, you are excited about building and nurturing relationships with mid to large sized businesses in several key US cities.

    This is an opportunity to get in the door with a small and growing company with opportunities to advance in your career as we scale our organization. The ideal candidate is someone who is resilient, strategic and a self-starter.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Reach out to business leaders to offer United Pet Care to their employees as an optional benefit
    • Drive the entire sales process from prospecting to deal closure
    • Work with your direct manager to research a develop a strategy to target new key markets
    • Make daily sales calls/emails  to potential new accounts
    • Complete at least 3 demos/ week
    • Maintain a growing pipeline
    • Occasionally participate in designated industry conferences (TBD)
    • Ensure Salesforce is kept up to date
    • Participate in weekly call with management to review upcoming appointments, challenges and successes

    SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 2+ years experience in an inside sales, SDR or Account Executive position
    • Sales experience in a quota carrying environment with a track record of success 
    • Skilled in all aspects of the sales cycle from open to close and objection handling
    • Analytical, organized and comfortable using data
    • Proficient in Salesforce (preferred) or other CRM systems 
    • Experience in healthcare services, Insurance, SaaS, and/or marketplace business preferred
    • Early stage startup experience preferred
