The Enrollment Benefit Counselor (Group Voluntary Benefits) is responsible for assisting the company in the enrollment of over 30,000 employees in their guaranteed issue, payroll-deducted group voluntary benefit plans.

Responsibilities:

• You will be assigned a designated territory encompassing thousands of potential clients with whom you will speak and conduct enrollments.
• Set up meetings with employee coordinators to conduct employee group meetings and/or lunch & learn events.
• Host and pre-open enrollment announcements with employees.
• Meet one on one with employees to conduct personalized benefit election plans.
• Seek to enroll a minimum of 50 percent of the employees you meet. Our team members average over 50 percent enrollment of the employees with whom they meet.

Requirements:

• Life & health insurance license for Illinois
• Non-licensed agents will have 45 days (about 1 and a half months) to pass the exam and qualify to work after training.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of confidence
• Must have at least some experiences in sales
• Ability to build a rapport with clients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be motivated to win!

Work Environment:

The position is field-only and will require the hired applicant to visit the clients’ offices and/or schools (e.g., school and business worksites).
