The Enrollment Benefit Counselor (Group Voluntary Benefits) is responsible for assisting the company in the enrollment of over 30,000 employees in their guaranteed issue, payroll-deducted group voluntary benefit plans.
Responsibilities:
- You will be assigned a designated territory encompassing thousands of potential clients with whom you will speak and conduct enrollments.
- Set up meetings with employee coordinators to conduct employee group meetings and/or lunch & learn events.
- Host and pre-open enrollment announcements with employees.
- Meet one on one with employees to conduct personalized benefit election plans.
- Seek to enroll a minimum of 50 percent of the employees you meet. Our team members average over 50 percent enrollment of the employees with whom they meet.
Requirements:
- Life & health insurance license for Illinois
- Non-licensed agents will have 45 days (about 1 and a half months) to pass the exam and qualify to work after training.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of confidence
- Must have at least some experiences in sales
- Ability to build a rapport with clients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be motivated to win!
Work Environment:
The position is field-only and will require the hired applicant to visit the clients’ offices and/or schools (e.g., school and business worksites).
