    The Assistant Director in charge of of childcare programs and camps is responsible for the administration, staffing, and execution of all childcare programs at United Sports, including Before & After Care, Kindergarten Extension, Pee Wee Play Days, and school-year camps and in-service days. In addition, the Assistant Director will serve as a Director of Summer Camp, in conjunction with the Director of Youth Programs and supports other programs such as birthday parties and sports classes as part of the department leadership team.

    The Assistant Director will work a rotation of later evening and weekend hours in conjunction with other members of the department. Typically, this will mean working until 7:00pm one night a week and Saturday or Sunday afternoons once a month.

    This position reports directly to the Director of Youth Programs.

    Responsibilities • Make decisions regarding Youth Programs in collaboration with Director and other Assistant Director of Youth Programs. • Administrate the childcare programs at United Sports. This includes staff training and scheduling, registrations, payments, compliance documentation, and execution of programs. • Evaluate and supervise Youth Programs staff (Before & After Care Staff, Party Hosts, Youth Programs Coaches) • Hold periodic staff meetings to review procedures, policies, department changes, etc. • Work with Youth Programs department to create innovative initiatives and programs to continue the growth and success of the department. • Implement special programs, activities, and events to enhance childcare programming. • Assist the Director of Youth Programs and other Assistant Director of Youth Programs in program management. • During summer months, work as a Director of Summer Camps. • With other full-time staff, be part of the rotation of Managers on Duty. • Serve as a substitute van driver, direct-care staff, or support staff when needed. • All other special projects and daily assignments as assigned by Director of Youth Programs, Vice President of Programming, and CEO.

    Requirements ● Associate's or Bachelor's degree required. At least 30 credit hours in "human services" hours. This can include Education, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or similar such courses.

    ● Must have excellent guest service skills ● Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills ● Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment ● Ability to multi-task ● Ability to prioritize · ● Must be able to work well in a group setting ● Must be able to work and communicate effectively with kids ● Must have a basic understanding and knowledge of sports ● Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel · ● Must be able to work irregular shifts to include, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed ● Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written ● Must have strong leadership skills

    Physical Requirements Must be able climb, crawl, jump, kneel, run, sit, stand, and/or walk for the duration of the shift (8 or more hours)
