    Policy and Trade Research Intern New York Office United States Council for International Business - New York, NY Part-time, Internship Reports to: Will directly support website editor while working with other team members in the policy and trade departments. Duration: July 2018 to September 2018, Part-time maximum 20 hours / week General Description: The Policy and Trade Research Intern will have two main areas of responsibility: * Research and Web Content Development: Support Trade and Policy departments with trade research, gathering case studies, expanding social media engagement, and drafting of blog posts and other website content. Specifically, the intern will have lead responsibility on: * Updating USCIB VAT Page, USCIBs most visited webpage used as a major resource for international trade information. This will include researching current VAT and Duties rates for the countries listed and updating the webpage using WordPress. * Updating Business for 2030 website, a USCIB-led public resource that showcases business contributions to sustainable development and seeks to encourage greater collaboration between the public and private sectors towards achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This will include leading outreach to both USCIB members and non-members to gather additional content, primarily company case studies but also blog posts, and to develop stronger Twitter presence through engagement. * Administrative support: Provide administrative support to multiple departments on miscellaneous projects as needed as well as possible event support. Qualifications: * Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is required.

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and computer proficiency are essential. Experience with social media and website development platforms (Squarespace and WordPress) preferred, but not required if otherwise tech savvy and eager to acquire additional skills. * Must be entrepreneurial, detail oriented, and have strong interpersonal, administrative, critical thinking and organizational skills. * Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated interest in international relations and business policy issues.
