Full-Time Medical Records Representative
Bon Secours Surgery Center at Virginia Beach is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Records Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and organizing patient medical records in accordance with regulatory standards and internal policies. This is a full-time position with a focus on ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and efficiency in medical record management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize and maintain electronic and paper medical records for patients
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all medical records
• Follow established procedures for record keeping, retrieval, and storage
• Process requests for medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Assist healthcare providers and administrative staff with record-related inquiries
• Collaborate with others to ensure receipt of medical records.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information at all times
• Participate in training programs and stay updated on industry regulations
