    Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth is seeking a Radiology Technologist Surgery/Diagnostics to join our team!!

    Schedule: Day shift Monday - Friday 6:30AM-3:00PM

    Radiology Technologist at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth:

    • Performs quality diagnostic procedures accurately and in a timely manner in surgery or in regular diagnostic radiological exams for Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth and Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth Outpatient Center.

    • The Radiology Technologist operates X-ray equipment, C-ARMS, XI-SCAN, prepares patient’s room, equipment, supplies and medications.

    • Provides patient services using imaging modalities.

    • Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams preformed.

    • Performs all Quality control checks, as prescribed.

    • Maintains accurate QC logs, service records, etc.

    • Performs highest quality imaging consistent with prescribed examination: documents and deviation.

    • Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures

    • Investigates promptly and follows up on unusual incidents and communicates with Director.

    • Takes emergency call as assigned.

    Education ****

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Graduate of AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology

    Licensure/Certification ****

    • Current & Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT) Certificate
    • Current & Active Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) General License (Texas Medical Board)
    • Current BLS certification

    Required Experience

    Specific Job Experience

    • One year of surgical/diagnostic experience preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Demonstrates responsibility for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients.
    • Demonstrates ability to assess data, prioritize care, and plan interventions dependent on the age group of the population served.
    • Demonstrates ability to discuss treatment/service and to provide education information to patients/families in age group served.
    • Ability to utilize Electronic Healthcare Record for patient documentation.
  • Qualifications

    Education ****

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Graduate of AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology

    Licensure/Certification ****
