Under general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the Materials Manager procures products and services in the most cost effective manner and in accordance with approved guidelines and polices. This position maintains the overall receiving, stocking and distribution duties adhering to all requirements of Hospital and USPI Materials Management Policy and Procedure Manual.

• Knowledge of computer inventory management systems, various software programs and medical products.
• Working knowledge of stocking and storing medical and non-medical supplies.
• Effective oral and written communication skills (in English).
• Must possess the ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Contracts/Interacts with: Vendors, Physicians, Corporate Office, Administration and Hospital Staff

Required Skills

• Associates or Bachelors degree preferred. High school graduate and equivalent experience required.
• Two years medical purchasing/buying experience.
• Two years management experience
