    ABOUT THE JOB Magnolia Surgery Center is and Ambulatory Surgical Center specializing in Ophthalmology and GI.  We are looking for an experienced and capable Pre/Post Admissions LVN. The Pre/Post Admissions LVN is responsible for assuring that all patient charts are complete 3-5 days prior to their scheduled surgery/procedure.  This includes obtaining pre-op clearance documentation, physician's orders and ensuring the proper consent is on file. Other duties include, but not limited to generating Center forms as needed from ScanChart system, Pre/Post OP calls to patients to ascertain their medical status and provide any needed guidance or information as well as assisting in Pre-OP and PACU as needed. Must be able to communicate professionally with both physician offices as well as patients and their families.

    Required Skills

    • Graduate of an accredited school/college
    • Minimum 2 year experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center proffered
    • Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, center staff, physicians, vendors and the public.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Excellent computer skills and high comfort level with EMR systems and translator phone systems
    • Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
    • Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
    • Ability to care for patients from 12 years old to geriatrics
    • Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
    • Strong empathetic personality 
    • Able to work independently while maintaining a high spirit of teamwork
    • Bi-lingual Vietnamese/English and/or Spanish/English strongly preferred
