  • Responsibilities

    The purpose of the Graphic Packing Monroe Internship Program is to develop and sustain a consistent pool of entry-level Engineering talent to fill full-time vacancies as they become available at GPI Monroe Facilities. The program also endeavors to create valuable hands-on learning opportunities that enrich the engineering academic program. Internships are hourly (non-exempt) temporary positions. Interns typically work 40 hours per week during the summer months and may have the opportunity to work intermittently during the Fall and Spring Semesters. Interns must successfully complete the post-offer, pre-employment process (to include a Drug Test & Background Check). The program is designed to encourage multi-year assignments with first year assignments being held by freshman or sophomore-level students.

    JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following: • Institute visual tools on field instrumentation to provide visible identification of desired operating ranges • Develop preventative maintenance procedures to reduce unplanned downtime and generate higher availability • Audit existing and develop new BOMs as required to improve planning, scheduling, and repair processes • Specify and manage maintenance and capital projects to ensure cost effective resource to management

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Progress • Interns must have/ maintain at least a 3.0 GPA.
